Keyboard Shortcuts with Windows Logo Key

The Windows logo key (Win) is very often used in Windows and in third-party applications. This key is even more used in the family of modern Windows operating systems. Many operating system features have an alternative keyboard shortcut that does the same, many of which are a combination of a Windows logo key and letters. Here are the keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys that are commonly used.

Win + U Open the Ease of Access Center
Win + Tab Aero 3D program flipper(Win7)/App Switcher
Win + Pause Display ‘System Properties’ dialog
Win + D Show Desktop
Win + M Minimize all windows
Win + E Open Windows Explorer
Win + F Search for a file or folder
Win + L Lock the computer
Win + R Open the Run dialog box
Win + T Cycle through programs on the taskbar
Win + number Start the program pinned to the taskbar in the position indicated by the number. If the program is already running, switch to its window.
Alt + Win + number Open the Jump List for the program pinned to the taskbar in the position indicated by the number.
Ctrl + Win + B Switch to the program that displayed a message in the notification area.
Win + Spacebar Preview the desktop
Win + Up Arrow Maximize the window
Win + Left Arrow Snap the window to the left side of the screen
Win + Right Arrow Snap the window to the right side of the screen
Win + Down Arrow Minimize the window
Win + Home Aero shake, minimize all but the active window
Win + Shift + Up Stretch the window to the top and bottom of the screen
Win + Shift + Left or Right Arrow Move a window from one monitor to another
Win + G Cycle through gadgets(Win 7)
Win + Plus / Minus Zoom in / out
